LM GTE @ 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021: Hyperpole

The first six qualifiers participated yesterday in the Hyperpole session to win their final position on the grid. P7 to the last entrant for each PRO and AM class was defined during the qualification session on Wednesday.

Dries Vanthoor qualified his Hub Auto Racing Porsche 911 ahead of the factory teams with 0.181 seconds advance. With his teammates E. Parente and M. Martin, he will start in front of the pack of LMGTE cars.

Daniel Serra qualified his #52 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo 2nd while Nick Tandy managed to get the third spot on the grid with his #64 Chevrolet Corvette C8.R.

Kevin Estre crashed at Indianapolis with his #92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR sustaining heavy damages.

Porsche secured a second pole in LMGTE AM and the top three in the class, with Julien Andlauer taking pole in the #88 Dempsey Proton Porsche 911 RSR infant of the #86 GR Racing Porsche of Ben Barker and the third-placed #56 Team Project 1 Porsche of Matteo Cairoli.
