Same results as for the penultimate race of the ELMS Championship with #22 United Autosports USA clinching a second win in a row and P2 for #25 Algarve Pro Racing who clinch LMP2 Drivers and Teams’ titles.

The penultimate race of the ELMS Championship was a tense battle between #22 Unitied Autosports USA and #25 Algarve Pro Racing with #22 winning the race and Algarve Pro Racing clinching the overall Championship.

The LMGTE race was animated, mostly dominated by Proton Competition with two of the four prepared Porsche 911 RSR-19s finishing first and second.

With four leader changes in the last 22 laps, It is finally the #25 Algarve Pro Racing with Alexander Lynn, James Allen and K. Simpson that crossed checkered flag first as leading #28 IDEC Sport had to pit due to a puncture with 14 laps to go and Louis Deletraz with #34 Racing Team Turkey had to give up the lead four laps before the end as he was struggling for grip.

Jose Maria Lopez with 11 seconds to go before the end of the session clinched pole beating Chatin for 0.266 seconds in 1:44.253. The #47 trio Vladislav Lomko, Reshad De GERUS and Jose Maria Lopez will start from pole the 4 Hours of Le Castellet tomorrow at 11:30 am.

Cool Racing strikes the double in FP1 at Paul Ricard this morning with Lopez in #47 fastest in LMP2 and Jakobsen driving #37 in LMP2/AM. Nick Thiim was fastest in LMGTE with #44 Aston Martin.

The 61st edition of the Rolex 24 At Daytona saw a fight between the #17 AWA Duqueine D08 and #33 Sean Creech Ligier JS P320 during the second half of the race until #33 Sean Creech went behind the wall for lengthy repairs. #17 AWA drivers Mantella, Boyd and Varrone clinched their first IMSA victory; Merrill his second IMSA win.

The Rolex 24 practice this Friday morning did not see major lap time improvements comparing to Thursday sessions in LMP3 and GTD except one in LMP2.

The IMSA LMP3 class is not to be overlooked with teams who made the hello for Group C and the American Le Mans series in the 80s and 90s, like Andretti Autosport and Riley. The competition is tough as we have counted four different teams who have won the 7 championship races of 2022.

Double blow for Cool Racing with pole in LMP2 and LMP3 during the qualifying session of the 4 Hours of Francorchamps this afternoon. In LMGTE, Conrad GRUNEWALD with Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo was 1 sec. faster than competitors in class.

The LMP2 class race was also frenetic as the Oreca #81 DragonSpeed driven by Devlin Defrancesco, Patricio O'Ward, Colton Herta and Eric Lux snatched victory in the last ten minutes...

Ben Keating took the lead on lap six with his #52 PR1 Mathiasen Motorsport Oreca LMP2 07 and handed over to Mikkel Jensen who kept the lead until the end clinching the Rolex 24 pole position in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class.
