The LMP2 class race was also frenetic as the Oreca #81 DragonSpeed 28 sec. lead wiped out with the penultimate FCY 2 hours to go.

The #81 driven by Devlin Defrancesco, Patricio O'Ward, Colton Herta and Eric Lux snatched victory in the last ten minutes when Colton Herta overtook Louis Delétraz (mistakenly told to save fuel) in the #8 Tower Motorsport. The two men touched each other slightly, the Swiss passing through the grass and losing his 2nd place in the process.

Giedo van der Garde in the #29 Oreca of Racing Team Nederland took the opportunity to snatch P2 after passing M. Jensen in the #52 Oreca, offering a podium to teammates Frits Van Eerd, Dylan Murry and Rinus VeeKay.

John Farano, Louis Deletraz, Rui Pinto de Andrade and Ferdinand Habsburg-Lothringen finished 3rd in the #8 Tower Motorsport.

The Oreca #52 of PR1 Mathiassen of Ben Keating, Mikkel Jensen, Scott Huffaker and Nicolas Lapierre finished at the foot of the podium.

The victory of LMP3 class went to #74 of Riley Motorsports which signed a 2nd consecutive victory at Daytona with Gar Robinson, Felipe Fraga, Kay van Berlo and Michael Cooper, one lap ahead of the 2nd.

Sean Creech Motorsport's #33 ended second with M. Jakobsen, S. Priaulx, L. Wilsley and J. Barbosa.

#36 of Andretti Autosport finished 4th, after having temporarily taken the lead with J. Andretti, G. Chaves, J. Burdon and R.Lindh.
