Rolex 24 At Daytona LMP3 Teams lineup
The IMSA LMP3 class is not to be overlooked with teams who made the hello for Group C and the American Le Mans series in the 80s and 90s, like Andretti Autosport and Riley.
The competition is tough as we have counted four different teams who have won the 7 championship races of 2022.
9 teams will be present at Daytona. We look back at their roots in IMSA, their results in IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship* and summarize the various announcements made by the 9 entries that will compete at Daytona as well as for the IMSA WSCC*. We also clarify the drivers who’ll compete in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup** or solely in the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Riley Technologies is family-owned and based in Mooresville. NC. Riley started designing, operating and building cars in the 1960th. Riley’s cars have won the 24 Hours of Daytona 20 times in addition to countless other motorsport races.
#74 Riley Motorsports Ligier JS P320 won the very first LMP3 Champion title (in 2021) at the IMSA Weathertech SportsCar Championship, which welcomed the LMP3 sports prototypes for the first time.
Last year, Gar Robinson ended second in the LMP3 drivers Championship with #74 Riley Motorsports ending second in the LMP3 teams championship. Felipe Fraga ran all championship races except the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park where he was replaced by Scott Andrews. Kay van Berlo was the third driver for IMEC rounds.
The 2023 lineup is still not confirmed.
Team leader Sean Creech has competed in a multitude of sports car series from 1990 until the present day, including Group C, IMSA GTP, WSC, Grand-Am, SRO World Challenge, and IMSA.
Joao Barbosa ended fourth in the 2022 LMP3 drivers Championship with #33 Sean Creech Motorsports. The team finished fourth in the LMP3 class standings and second in the Michelin Endurance Cup. Lance Willsey did not run the Motul Petit Le Mans race being replaced by Nico Pino. Malthe Jacobsen was the third driver for the IMEC races.

24 Hours At Daytona lineup: Nico Pino and Danny Soufi, who will make his IMSA.
Andretti Autosport team fields multiple entries in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship LMP3 class.
Gaby Chaves and Jarrett Andretti ended fifth in the 2022 LMP3 drivers Championship with #36 Andretti Autosport ending fifth in the LMP3 teams championship. Josh Burdon was the third driver for the IMEC races.
The 2023 lineup is still not confirmed.
AWA team ended sixth in the 2022 LMP3 teams championship as well as Orey Fidani in the LMP3 drivers championship. Lars Kern was the second driver for the IMEC races and Kuno Wittmer at Sebring 12 Hours. The team’s best result was a second-place finish at Road America.
The team will submit two Duqueine D08 entries for Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Brent O’Neill founded Performance Tech Motorsports in 1982 preparing cars in the LMP2 class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IMSA Prototype Challenge series.
Performance Tech has won twice the IMSA MICHELIN Endurance Cup Championship and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
#38 Performance Tech Motorsports ended seventh in the 2022 LMP3 teams championship.
Cameron Shields driving for the IMEC rounds and Road America ended 11th of the LMP3 drivers championship. Dan Coburg, who drove the IMEC rounds and Mid Ohio, ended 12th in the LMP3 drivers championship. Tyler Manson drove at The Glen and Motul Petit Le Mans. Rasmus Lindy drove at Mid Ohio.

A notorious absentee.
Founded by driver Jon Bennett in 2010, CORE autosport has participated in 15 IMSA championships (and former American Le Mans Series) across all series.
Last season, Colin Braun and Jon Bennett won the LMP3 driver and team titles in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
After this win, Jon Bennett decided to cease operations of Core Autosport.
