14 drivers under the 1:30" mark during prologue

Both Inter Europol Competition topped the combined timesheets by driver fastest lap of the European Le Mans Series prologue at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Luca Ghiotto and Tom Dillmann dominated two of the three day 1 sessions and were the only ones under the 1:29” mark for all prologue’s sessions. With them, 12 drivers drove their fastest lap under the 1:30” mark. Car Racing Reporter compiles the combined sessions fastest laps of the prologue.

Two drivers from the same team

Among the 14 drivers under the 1:30” mark, only two drivers are from the same team ie #21 United Autosports with Marino Sato and Oliver Jarvis.

Among those 14, four drivers are driving a Pro/Am car:

Prologue top 11 drivers by combined sessions’ fastest lap

1. Luca Ghiotto (#34 Inter Europol Competition Oreca 07) was the fastest driver of the Prologue in 1:28.808 set during the day 1 late afternoon LMP2&LMP2 Pro-AM session. Luca Ghiotto was also the fourth fastest of the 1st session in 1:29.631.

2. Tom Dillman (#43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca 07), during the same late afternoon session specific for the LMP2 entries, was only 1 thousandth of a second slower than Ghiotto in 1:28.807. Tom Dillmann was also second fastest of the 1st session in 1:29.464.

3. Matthieu Vaxiviere did set the third fastest lap of the day 1 late afternoon LMP2 & LMP2 Pro/Am session with #83 AF Corse Oreca 07 - Gibson in 1:29.121. That was the fastest lap by driver of LMP2 Pro/Am combined sessions.

4. Marino Sato with #21 United Autosports Oreca 07 - Gibson was the fastest of day 2 morning session (and of the day) in 1:29.319. It was the second fastest lap of LMP2 Pro/Am class.

5. Louis Delétraz was fastest of the prologue’s first session with #99 AO by TF Oreca 07 - Gibson in 1:29.323. This was the third fastest lap of LMP2 Pro/Am class.
