ComToYou Racing at Nürburg to defend endurance lead

SRO

Teams with 50 cars are heading to the Nürburgring for the third round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered By AWS Endurance Cup. We are just 1 point from mid-season as a maximum 76 points have already been allocated to the winners (26 at Imola, 2 times 12 for the 6 and 12 marks, 26 for the 24 Hours of Spa). A maximum of 78 points can still be won: 1 for qualifying winner and 25 for the race winner at Nürburgring, Monza and Jedda. After Qualifying Sunday morning we’ll be at the mid-season mark.

The victory of the #007 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at Spa, the lead after 6 hours racing at Spa, P5 after 12 hours mark and P7 at Paul Ricard enables ComToYou to lead the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered By AWS Endurance Cup Overall Team with 48 Points, ahead of ROWE Racing (37 pts) and AF Corse - Francorchamps Motors (34 pts).

Mattia Drudi, Nicky Thiim and Marco Sorensen (the “Dane Train”) lead the Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered By AWS Sprint Cup Teams thanks to the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps win and the 12 points collected after 12 hours. They lead the driver Cup with 46 points. Spa was a disappointment for the Circuit Paul Ricard winning trio Dan Harper, Max Hesse and Augusto Farfus as they clinched only 11 points for the 24 Hours race even though they led the race Sunday morning. The BMW M works drivers trio count 36 points so far. Alesssandro Pier Guidi, Davide Rigon and Alessio Rovera lost the race and high points after being blocked at the pit entrance by a broken-down car. They are third in the ranking with 31 points.
