BMW and Ferrari losing Rolex 24 manufacturers points

Manufacturers points

Both BMW and Ferrari have been sanctioned for performance in excess during the Rolex 24 At Daytona, losing all their IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Michelin Endurance Cup manufacturers points in the GTD PRO and GTD classes.

IMSA officials found violations related to performance of their respective GTD Pro and GTD GT3s that didn’t match with their own performance levels that manufacturers declare prior to the Daytona race under IMSA’s new GTD Balance of Performance (BoP) system.
