IMSA 2022: DPi & LMP @ ROAR Before the 24 Friday practices

A week before the Daytona 24 Hours, a 100-minute qualifying race known as the Motul Pole Award 100 will set the grid for the main 24-hour race that starts on 29 January. Yesterday’s practices saw both Acura dominating the DPi class.

After finishing second in the FIA World Endurance Championship LMP2 class in 2021, Blomqvist made his debut in Dpi by turning the fastest lap of the two practice sessions Friday at the ROAR before Rolex 24 at Daytona with the # 60 Meyer Shank Racing Acura ARX-05.

Filipe Albuquerque posted the second fastest lap with #10 Acura ARX-05 just 0.336 sec. behind sister car completing a successful 1-2 for Meyer Shank Racing.

The second Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac #02 driven by Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn, Kevin Magnussen and Marcus Ericsson ended fourth of both sessions.
