Rolex 24 After 18 Hours racing
The four Porsche 963 are still in the same lap as leading #31 Cadillac. #7 Porsche is giving a hard time to the only Cadillac left in the race as #01 Cadillac V-Series.R had to retire.
Cadillac #31 and Porsche #7 regularly swapping leadership
At the 18 hours mark, Pipo Derani with #31 Cadillac V-Series.R was leading Felipe Nasr in Porsche #7 by 1.432 seconds! At the end of his early morning stint, Tom Blomqvist said: "The car is just working well. Itβs difficult out there because the Porsche and BMW are quick at different points. Itβs hard work. Sometimes you feel like youβre slow and the next thing you know you feel like youβre fast. We got back to the front though itβs still a long way to go." Source: Cadillac Racing
Felipe Nasr, American Dane Cameron, Josef Newgarden and Matt Campbell as well as the Porsche Penske Motorsports team are working flawlessly continuously within the top 2.
The #6 Porsche 963 is following sister #7 from a short distance, followed by Proton Competition Mustang Sampling Porsche 963 #5. #85 JDC-L_Miller Motorsport Porsche 963 is a little further still in the same lap as the leaders.
#40 Acura ARX-06 is also in the same lap as the leaders, squeezed between the two customer Porsches and the sole Acura ARX-06 left in the race as sister #10 had to abandon.
