Algarve’s last ELMS qualifying session this season

Last qualifying sessions of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) championship at Portimao this afternoon with Panis Racing, Proton, Cool Racing and Iron Dames respectively on pole in each of the 4 class.

Inter Europol Competition leads LMP2

Charles Milesi dominated the highly competitive LMP2 class with #65 Panis Racing Oreca with a best lap of 1:30.727. Malthe Jakobsen with #37 COOL Racing was second 0,382 seconds slower than the class Benchmark. Will Stevens was third with #27 Nielsen Racing Oreca, 0,447 seconds slower than Milesi.

Giorgio Roda fifth pole this season

Cracking session in LMP2 Pro/Am class with Bronze drivers’ ranking changing during the last five minutes. Giorgio Roda in #77 Proton Oreca clinched his fifth pole this season by reeling off a 1:32.919, 0.618 seconds ahead of Rodrigo Sales with #29 RM by TDS, second and 0,798 seconds faster than François Perrodo in #83 AF Corse Oreca, third.

Sarah Bovy in pole in LMGT3

Sarah Bovy in the #85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3 R did set a best time of 1:42.408 in LMGT3, beating Johnny Laursen in #50 Formula Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 by 0.969 seconds. Martin Berry in #97 AO by TF Aston Martin Vantage was third 1.003 seconds slower than Bovy’s benchmark in class.

M. Espírito Santo Qualifies first in LMP3

Cool Racing will not win the class championship this season but ends the season in a high note with M. Espírito Santo in #17 Cool Racing qualifying in pole of LMP3 class. W. Brichacek with #4 DKR Engineering was second of the session ahead of O. With the #12 WTM by Rinaldi Racing.
