3 Cadillacs in top 6 during practice 3

Practice 3 of the 63rd Rolex 24 At Daytona was a Cadillac-Porsche-BMW business with their drivers squatting the top 13 fastest lap of the session. Renger van der Zande was the fastest of the Acura works drivers still in P14. It is the first time since the beginning of this weekend that the 3 Cadillac V-Series.R are among the top 6.

Kamui Kobayashi fastest of practice 3

Toyota Gazoo Racing works driver Kamui Kobayashi in #40 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac V-Series.R reeled off a best lap of 1:36.380 in the final practice for the Rolex 24 at Daytona. It is still 1:445 seconds short of his teammate Louis Deletraz fastest lap during qualifying.

The 3 Cadillacs for the first time in the top 10 per driver fastest lap

Three other Cadillac works drivers are among the top 10 drivers’ fastest lap of the session: Will Stevens and Ricky Taylor in #10 WTR Cadillac V-Series.R are respectively sixth and seventh while Felipe Drugovich in #31 Whelen Cadillac is Eighth.

3 Porsche drivers in top 10 per driver fastest lap

Mathieu Jaminet in #6 Porsche was second fastest of the day, 0.484 seconds shy of Kobayashi’s fastest lap. His teammate Matt Campbell was ninth and Laurens Vanthoor in sister #7 was fourth of the session. Neel Jani in Proton Competition Porsche 963 round the top 10 of the session.

2 BMW M Hybrid V8 #25 drivers also among top 10

Robin Frijns and Rene Rast are respectively third and fifth of the session with #25 BMW M Hybrid V8.

The Rolex 24 goes green at 1:40 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 25 with qualifying on Thursday, January 23. The race will feature live television segments on NBC and USA and flag-to-flag coverage on Peacock in the U.S., and IMSA.com for international viewers.
