Marciello in pole and BMW front row at Macau
The Marciello dominated 30-minute FIA GT World Cup qualifying session was shortened by four minutes due to Luca Engstler’s massive crash leaving a massive stretch of debris on the track. Early in the session, Laurin Heinrich (#88 Schumacher CLRT Porsche) and Jules Gounon (#99 Craft-Bamboo Racing Mercedes-AMG) slammed their car into the barriers.
BMW locks front row for Qualifying Race
Second pole in a row to Raffaele Marciello. After clinching last pole for Mercedes in 2023, Marciello renewed the same success with #1 Toro Racing by MCG BMW M4 GT3 in 2:16.509.

Dries Vanthoor in the #32 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 was 0.053 seconds slower assuring, a BMW front-row for tomorrow’s Qualifying Race at the FIA GT World Cup in Macau.
Mercedes and Ferrari in second row
Maro Engel in the #130 GruppeM Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evoqualified third, with Antonio Fuoco fourth in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3.

Two more BMW M4 GT3 in third row
2018 GT World Cup champion Augusto Farfus completed the top-five in the #89 KRC BMW4 GT3, ahead of Sheldon van der Linde in #31 WRT BMW M4 GT3 sixth.

Fourth row for Absolute Porsches
Both Absolute Racing entries did not renew their double during yesterday’s FP2 as Laurens Vanthoor qualified seventh in the #25 Absolute Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, ahead of Alessio Picariello in eighth, with sister car #911.
Audi in top 10
Ricardo Feller and Christopher Haase qualified respectively ninth and tenth.
