P2 and P3 at play at Fuji in LMGTE AM
Since Corvette Racing already clinched the class championship (earlier than any previous team in the WEC, regardless of category), the Fuji round might also be decisive for several teams in chase for a podium in both drivers and team championships for LMGTE AM class.
Six teams are within 19 points of the Iron Dames who are second in both championships ahead of Fuji. The fight for the podium is very close between the Iron Dames (67 points), Ort by TF (-2 pts), Dempsey Proton Racing (-7 pts), GR Racing (-13 pts), Richard Mille AF Corse ( -16 pts) and AF Corse #54 (-19 pts).
Corvette Racing going for a fourth win
After winning at Sebring, Portimao and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Nicky Catsburg, Ben Keating and Nico Varrone sharing the #33 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Chevrolet Corvette C8.R drive to keep collecting race victories with the C8.R.
Porsche’s customer teams in the run for championship podium
With only one podium so far (P3 at Portimao), the all-female trio Michelle Gatting, Sarah Bovy and Rahel Frey are eager to renew their P2 at Fuji last year with the #85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 RSR.
After winning the class in Monza, Chrisitian Ried, Julien Andlauer and Mikael Pedersen with Dempsey-Proton Racing #77 Porsche are looking to renew their success at Fuji.

Aston Martin Ort by TF defending P3 in Championship
TF Sport won last year with Keating, Chaves and Sorensen #33 Aston Martin. This year TF Sport supported trio Ahmad Al Harthy, Charlie Eastwood and Michael Dinan with the Aston Martin Vantage #25 are looking for a third podium after Spa (P3) and Le Mans (P2).
A win is critical for Ferrari podium in LMGTE AM Championships
After a sixth place at the Italian Temple of Speed in July, the Ferrari 488 GTE number 83 crew heads to the historic Japanese venue aiming to chalk up yet another noteworthy result. Victory with Richard Mille AF Corse in round four, the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and the runner-up place in the previous round at Portimão, stand out in the season of the 22-year-old Frenchwoman Wadoux, in her first year as a Ferrari official driver, the Italian Rovera and the Argentine gentleman driver Luis Perez Companc.
The crew of Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Davide Rigon, in the AF Corse 488 GTE #54, will try to collect valuable championship points after an excellent start to the year, which saw the VistaJet-liveried car come fifth and fourth at Sebring and Portimão, before finishing fifth at Le Mans. Rigon returns to the cockpit at Fuji after celebrating his 37th birthday on 26 August with victory in the Kessel Racing’s Ferrari 488 GTE at the 4 Hours of Aragon in the ELMS series.
