WEC season 10: 1.000 Miles of Sebring 2022 qualifications

Overall

Nicolas Lapierre with the #36 Alpine A480 did set the fastest lap of qualification sessions. With his teammates Matthieu Vaxivière and Andre Negrao, they’ll start from pole the 1.000 miles of Sebring 2022 , first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Oliver Pla on the wheel of #708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH will start form first row after setting the second fastest lap, 1.334 behind Lapierre.

Nicklas Nielsen with the #83 AF Corse Oreca realized an outstanding performance being third overall with his Pro/Am class car in front of Toyota Hypercars and all the LMP2. Together with his teammates Francois Perrodo and Alessio Rovera they’ll start the 1.000 miles of Sebring 2022 from row 2 and are already clinching one point for the championships by setting fastest LMP2 lap in qualifications.

Brendon Hartley with #8 Toyota GR010 did set the fourth fastest lap of qualifications of the 1.000 miles of Sebring 2022.

Filipe Albuquerque with #22 United Autosport Oreca did set the fifth best performance overall.

Paul di Resta with sister car #23 Unitied Autosport Oreca will start from P6.

Jose Maria Lopez was seventh fastest and last Hypercar with #7 Toyota GR010 demonstrating that the last BoP set for the first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship will be hard for Toyota.

Rene Rast will be fourth LMP2 and eights overall to start the 1.000 miles of Sebring 2022 with his #31 WRT team and teammates Robin Frijns and Sean Gelael.

Ferdinand Habsburg with #41 Realteam by WRT was ninth overall and will start from that position with his teammates Norman Nato and Rui Andrade.

Antonio Felix da Costa is tenth overall with JOTA #38.

LMGTE

The first LMGTE will start from P19 overall nevertheless, to minimize risks of 36 cars being launched together, the LMGTE group will start behind a second security car giving spectators and photographs a second start for the 1.000 miles of Sebring 2022.

Michael Christensen was fastest LMGTE with #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19. Kevin Estre will start from pole of this group the 1.000 miles of Sebring 2022.

Gianmaria Bruni succeeded the double for Porsche by setting the second fastest lap of qualifications. He’ll start form first row of the LMGTE league.

Nick Tandy with #64 Corvette C8.R is a bit more than 0.5” behind the first Porsche in P3.

Surrprisingly, Ben Keating with LMGTE AM Aston Martin Vantage AMR #33 was fastest than the two Ferrari and will start from second row in P4.

The two Ferrari will start from third row with #51 in P5 and #52 in P6.

Note that the two Aston Martin Vantage AMR are fastest LMGTE AM in front of the Porsches with Paul Dalla Lana setting the second fastest lap of the class
