Cadillac and Corvette (Chevrolet), part of the GM group, are leading four IMSA Michelin Endurance Cups (IMEC) after two races (50% of the total points awarded per Cup) via the Cadillac V-Series.R in GTP class (Drivers, Manufacturers and Teams) and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in GTP Pro (manufacturers).

The IMSA Michelin Endurance Cups (IMEC) are manufacturers, teams and drivers championships specific to the Endurance races (6hours or more) within the IMSA WeatherTech Championship: Rolex 24 at Daytona, Sebring 12 hours, Watkins Glen 6 hours, Indianapolis 6 hours, and Petit Le Mans.

Points are awarded at different marks of each race:

  • Rolex 24 at Daytona, points are awarded at 6 hours, 12 hours, 18 hours and at the finish,

  • Sebring 12 hours, points are awarded at 4 hours, 8 hours and at the finish.,

  • Watkins Glen 6 hours and Indianapolis 6 hours, points are awarded at 3 hours and at the finish,

  • Petit Le Mans (10 hours), points are awarded at 4 hours, 8 hours and at the finish.

For each mark, points are awarded on a 5–4–3–2 basis for drivers, teams and manufacturers. The first finishing position at each interval earns five points, four points for second position, three points for third, with two points awarded for fourth and each subsequent finishing position.

Contrary of last year when Rolex 24 at Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring did count for 58,33% of the total Endurance Cup points available for the season, both races do count for 50% of the total available points for the Endurance Cup as the battle of the bricks at Indianapolis has now been added to the Cup.
