Matteo Cairoli aboard the #9 Iron Lynx-Proton Oreca 07 Gibson clinched pole position in qualifying for the 4 Hours of Mugello with a fastest lap of 1:32.829. He is the fifth different driver to take a European Le Mans Series pole position this season. Several drivers were trapped by a late red flag caused by Patrick Pilet beached in the gravel after a spin in Borgo San Lorenzo.

Derek DeBoer clinched #59 Racing Spirit of Lemans Aston Martin Vantage’s first pole position of the season, 0.124 seconds faster than Sarah Bovy with #85 Iron Dames Porsche .
