IMSA 2022 Motul Petit Le Mans Free Practices
Today, teams and drivers enjoyed a sunny day with blue sky for the day practices before the arrival of the remnants of Hurricane Ian. There’s a good chance of precipitation on Friday and Saturday.

Earl Bamber was the fastest of the session with #02 Chip Ganassi Cadillac ahead of Tom Blomqvist with #60 Meyer Shank Racing W/Curb-Agajanian Acura.

WIth Sebastien Bourdais in P3 and Renger van der Zande in P5, 3 Cadillac Racing drivers are among the top 5 fastest of the practice.
The gap with the slowest driver of the session (Jimmie Johnson with #48 Ally Racing Cadillac) is of 2.496 seconds in the 6 DPi class.
In GTD PRO, Jack Hawksworth was the fastest with #14 Lexus RC F GT3 ahead of Matt Campbell with 9 Pfaff Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3R and Daniel Serra with #62 Risi Competizione Ferrari GT3. Ben Barnicoat was fourth with #14 Lexus RC F GT3.
Free Practice 2
The afternoon session enabled GTD/LMP2/LMP2 to run on their own for 15’ at the beginning of the session while DPi and GTD PRO were running together the last 15’.

This time Sebastien Bourdais confirmed the velocity of the Cadillac Racing’s Cadillac by setting the session’s fastest lap with #01. Tom Blomqvist with #60 Meyer Shank Racing W/Curb-Agajanian Acura was second again. Kamui Kobayashi with #48 Ally Racing Cadillac was third.

In GTD PRO, Jack Hawksworth confirmed first practice best performance by being the fastest with #14 Lexus RC F GT3 ahead of Jesse Krohn with #25 Team RLL BMW M4 GT3.
Free Practice 3
As the race will end at 10:10 pm, the drivers had an opportunity to run at sunset and at night.
Earl Bamber (1st) and Alex Lynn (2nd) were the fastest of the session with #02 Chip Ganassi Cadillac.

In GTD PRO, James Calado was the only one to improve the #62 Risi Competizione fastest lap among the top 3 of class during this session.
