Mercedes-AMG 1-2 in combined Friday Practices

Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing led the combined Friday practices of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS season opener at Circuit Paul Ricard. Eight drivers drove their fastest lap under the 1:54.500 mark.

1-2 Mercedes-AMG

Fabian Schiller led the Mercedes-AMG 1-2 in combined Friday Practices with a 1:54.083 early on in the two-hour Free Practice session aboard his #17 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed AMG GT3 Evo. His teammate Jules Gounon confirmed the velocity of the #17 Mercedes with a 1:54.446 during the night Pre-Qualification session.

Matteo Cairoli in the #48 Mercedes-AMG Team MANN-FILTER entry was only 0.024 short from Friday’s Benchmark, setting a 1:54.107.

Verstappen.com Racing in third

Chris Lulham led the Morning Bronze Test session in #33 Verstappen.com Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO in 1:54.151 which puts him in the club of three drivers who managed to get within one-tenth of Schiller with a gap of 0.068. Lulham leads the Gold Cup class

Porsche 911 GT3 R at night

Laurin Heinrich was fastest of the night Pre-Qualifying session for Schumacher CLRT in the #22 Porsche 911 GT3 R with a best lap of 1:54.311. It is the fourth fastest lap of Friday’s three sessions.

Sven Mueller picked up third of the same night session in the #96 Rutronik Racing Porsche which puts him in seventh of combined practices in 1:54.486.

McLaren 720S GT3 Evo

Rookie Joseph Loake and Louis Prette set the fifth and sixth fastest lap (Friday’s combined practices) in both Garage 59 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. Joseph Loake with a 1:54.416 in the #59 and Louis Prette with a 1:54.419 in the #58 .

Ford Performance Mustang GT3

Eighth overall (Friday’s combined practices), and fastest in the Silver Cup, David Schumacher did set his fastest lap of 1:54.494 with the #65 HRT Ford Performance Mustang GT3 during Free Practice.
