Team WRT most crowned team in GT Challenge

Team WRT and drivers, Sainteloc team and drivers, Winward team and drivers won each four titles in the GTWorldChEu. With Team WRT driver Charles Weerts also winning the Intercontinental GT Challenge Driver Championship, Team WRT and drivers count the highest number of championship trophies in the numerous championships organised by SRO globally.

Overall Team Championship for Sprint and Endurance

Thanks to its highest success rate in the Sprint Cup, a win at the Monza endurance race, a P3 at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and a P4 at Circuit Paul Ricard and the 6 Hours of Jeddah, Team WRT clinched the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Teams.

Of the two pro entries in endurance races, Dries Vanthoor, Sheldon van der Linde and Charles Weerts scored the highest points for Team WRT with their win at the Monza endurance race, a P3 at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and a P4 the 6 Hours of Jeddah. Raffaelle Marciello, Maxime Martin and Valentino Rossi scored another team’s P4 at Circuit Paul Ricard.

Overall Team Championship for Sprint

With three wins at Brands Hatch, Misano, Magny Cours and three P2 at Hockenheim and Magny Cours for #32 BMW M4 GT3 driven by Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts plus one victory by Rossi and Maxime Martin in Misano, Team WRT scored the highest number points in the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Sprint Cup Drivers.

Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Sprint Cup Silver Driver and Team.

With #30 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 winning both silver class sprint races at Misano and one at Hockenheim, a class P2 at Brands Hatch, Hockenheim and Barcelona, Team WRT also won the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Sprint Cup Silver Team. Calan Williams won the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Sprint Cup Silver Drivers as he drove the #30 BMW during the whole Sprint championship whereas his usual teammate Sam De Haan was replaced by Sean Gelael at Barcelona.

Intercontinental GT Challenge

Team WRT drivers Dries Vanthoor, Sheldon van der Linde and Charles Weerts did participate to 3 of the 4 races on the Intercontinental GT Challenge scoring two victory points at 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (3rd overall but 1st of the IGTC entries) and IGTC Indianapolis 8 Hour (2nd overall but 1st of the IGTC entries). Charles Weerts also ended third of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring (2nd of IGTC entries) together with Daniel Harper and Max Hesse driving the #72 BMW M Team RMG BMW M4 GT3 clinching the Intercontinental GT Challenge Driver Championship.
