Akkodis ASP team looking to strengten Championship leadership
There are 8 Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Championships, 10 Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Endurance Cups and 8 Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Sprint Cups.
The Championship has a Team and a Drivers (2) rankings for overall, Gold, PRO-AM and Silver lineups (4). (2 times 4 = 8 Championships) with the 5 rounds of Endurance Cup (Monza, Paul Ricard, Spa, Nürburgring and Barcelona) and the 5 rounds of the Sprint Cup (Brands Hatch, Misano, Hockenheim, Valencia and Zandvoort).
The two Cups have each a Team and a Drivers (2) rankings for overall, Bronze, Gold and Silver lineups (4). (2 times 4 = 8 Cups). The Endurance Cup has an additional PRO-AM class (2 additional rankings + 8 = 10 Cups).
Half of the Championship is over with Monza, Paul Ricard, Brands Hatch, Spa and Misano behind us. The Nürburgring will hold the 6th round (4th Endurance) this weekend.
Akkodis ASP team is currently leading the Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Teams with 121, 5 points after winning race 1 and Q (Qualifying)1 at Brands Hatch, their win and pole point at Circuit Paul Ricard, the 36 points for their second place after 6 hours, 12 hours and overall at the 24 Hours of Francorchamps, winning race 1 and Q1 as well as P3 in race 2 at Misano.
Timur Boguslavskiy and Raffaele Marciello are comfortably leading the Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Drivers, 39 points ahead of Wittman/Eng/Yelloly who do not participate to the Sprint rounds and therefore do not have the same opportunities to score points in the Drivers Challenge.

Team WRT is second in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Teams 20 points behind the Akkodis ASP Team. Instead of having only one car like #88 Akkodis ASP Team, Team WRT has two entries with
#32 BMW M4 GT3 driven by Dries Vanthoor, Sheldon van der Linde, Charles Weerts who scored points at Monza, the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and Misano
#46 BMW M4 GT3 driven by Valentino Rossi, Augusto Farfus, Maxime Martin who scored points at Paul Ricard, Francorchamps and Misano.
The Team’s Challenge is still very open. Of course, only the first overall ranked of the two cars scores points in the Challenge for Team WRT but having two cars represents an additional chance.

Rowe Racing is third in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Teams 11,5 points behind the Team WRT but does not participate to the Sprint rounds which considerably reduces their chances to score points.
