Four Porsche 911 GT3 R top NLS 1 in Green Hell

As rain fell on the Nordschleife between qualifying and the first race of 2025 ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie we saw lots of different strategies impacting the ranking during the first two hours. The choice of tires was tricky: slicks were risky on a damped track, rain tires would not last one stint, and cut slicks would have been at a disadvantage compared to non-cut dry tires during the first stint as the track was due to dry with sunshine lightening the Nordschleife.

During the third hour, the favorites emerged with 4 Porsche 911 GT3R, the ROWE BMW M4 GT3 and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 with the new Adidas livery.

Four Porsche 911 GT3 R top the ranking

Despite a poor qualification result, the Porsche 911 GT3 R ends the first 2025 endurance race on the Nordschleife in the top 4.

Falken Motorsport double

Falken Motorsport’s strategy turned out to be the right one as both cars pitted at the end of the first lap to change the rain tires, used at the start given the wet track conditions, for slicks.

Morris Schuring claimed his first victory in the general class with Sven Müller driving the Porsche #4 from Falken Motorsport.

Manthey-EMA Porsche #911 third

After a poor qualifying session which saw the Manthey-EMA Porsche #911 "Grello," which had only qualified 16th, the race started wrong as Thomas Preining was spun around in the starting chaos at the exit of the Mercedes Arena. Preining had to catch up almost the entire pack of the first wave. Together with Ayhancan Güven, they end third, 1'13" behind the winning Porsche.

BMW M Motorsport and ROWE Racing

ROWE Racing’s #98 BMW M4 GT3 EVO driven by Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn, Raffaele Marciello, and Kelvin van der Linde ends fifth.

Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed

The Mercedes-AMG GT3 of the Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed new livery in matt black with the three distinctive stripes on the bonnet and roof and the adidas logo on both doors ends sixth with Ralf Aron, Lucas Auer, Adam Christodoulou and Mikaël Grenier.

4 different manufacturers from P6 to P10

Dörr / Dörr with #69 McLaren 720S GT3 Evo end seventh; Pepper / Bortolotti / Engstler driving #27 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 are eight while Winkelhock / Ludwig on board of #15 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO 2 follow in ninth and Arrow / Piana / Bünnagel / Stursberg at the wheel of #48 Porsche 911 GT3 R complete the top 10.
