Cadillac #31 clinch max. mid-race points for Michlin Endurance Cup

Cadillac #31 took the lead before the 3 hours mark.

Thanks to a refueling strategy that is out of sync with other competitors, Pipo Derani with #31 Whelen Cadillac took the lead thereby clinching the 5 points allocated at that stage in the Michelin Endurance Cup.

As Felipe Albuquerque with the #10 WTR Andretti Acura lost 2 laps before the 3 hours mark dropping into P7, Derani/Sims/Aitken are increasing their lead in the Michelin Endurance Cup as the #10 Acura (2 points behind the #31 Cadillac) trio does not mark points at this stage.
